For fun...

A brief view of myself practicing with a heavier eye than I usually prefer.

Fabulous Find...

The fashion blogger with a small wallet has a sad existence. This cheered me up considerably... (assuming its not a scam, of course) One of my favorite favorite Pnina Tornai designs- for $1400. At that price, who cares if it is two seasons old?

A step in a different direction...

Today, I wore my polka dot rainboots (typical Seattle summer weather) which made me think about shoes... So for today's post I found some wonderful heels to share. They are by designer Guiseppe Zanotti, known for having created jewelry and shoes for the wardrobe of Lady Gaga. I have to say I wouldn't shell out $700 for them, but I love the look! With 3 1/2 inch heels, they are a completely wearable piece.

Say Yes to Cinco!

For some reason Michael Cinco was never high on my radar. However, I recently discovered how gorgeous and different his designs are. One of the world's most exciting designers to be sure! A lot of his dresses are bird-inspired. My favorite is an ice blue peacock dress with the bird's head snaking up the sheer back.

Everyone is tired of hearing about...

The dress. Kate Middleton's wedding dress. Hundreds of copies and knockoffs are already being made, a sure financial bid for designers- every woman wants to look like a princess. But Kate's now-famous dress is supposedly not an entirely original design. It was heavily inspired by actress Grace Kelly's dress from her 1956 wedding to Prince Rainier of Monaco. Sure, it was modernized, but the two dresses are definitely very similar. What do you think?

Crazy find of the day

I really like this one. The dress is part of the Maria Karin Couture 2011 collection. It has a very fantastical side to it, making the model look part tree, part woman. I was really captured by the gorgeous details and the effortless volume of the skirt. Check out the rest of the collection here:
